This workshop will include demonstrations and instruction by the tutor and time to work on your own paintings with individual help and feedback.

Set of water-based paints (watercolour, gouache or acrylic). To include orange and dark colours such as Alizarin crimson, Prussian blue, Ultramarine, Burnt umber, violet, Viridian (or Emarald green). Opaque white paint (designers gouache). Good quality ‘Bockingford’ watercolour paper (size A4 140lb (300gsm), ‘NOT’ (or cold pressed) surface), a variety of soft nylon watercolour brushes to include a flat (square ended), size ¾”, stiff bristle bushes. 2 pots for water, palette, drawing board, masking tape, sketch pad, 2B pencil, rubber, ruler, plastic cover to protect tables. Any other painting/drawing equipment you have such as felt tips, watercolour pencils, pen, etc. Glasses if required. Packed lunch.


Venue is on the ground floor and there is a car park next to the Community Centre. Tea and coffee will be available.
