This workshop aims to introduce and develop your skills in oil painting. We shall look at the variety of ways in applying this medium.

Beginners and improvers

If you wish to book a place on one or more course(s), please email, telephone or write to us to check there is a space available. Payment details will be given after which we shall hold your place for 3 days to allow you time to pay either by BACS or by cheque. For further details please see Booking.

These will include demonstrations by tutor; individual practice by student; instruction on a group and individual basis; question and answer, etc.

All materials will be provided by the tutor for an extra fee of £3. All you need is your packed lunch. Please let me know when you book if you require materials Oil paints, canvas paper or board pre-primed, sketchpad, palette or tear-off disposable palette, various sized nylon and stiff bristle brushes, palette knife, low odour solvent only please to clean brushes (no turpentine as some people are allergic), rags, pencil (HB and 2B), eraser, drawing board if you have one, apron, newspaper to protect tables, any other oil painting equipment you have already. Packed lunch.

Car parking is alongside the front and one side of hall. Tea and coffee provided at a small charge. It is on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchairs, with disabled accessible toilet.
