This workshop aims to introduce you to and develop your skills in the use of water soluble colour pencils.

These will include demonstrations by tutor; individual practice by student; instruction on a group and individual basis; question and answer, etc.


A set of good quality soft water soluble coloured pencils (Derwent watercolour pencils or Caran D’Ache water soluble pencils). Make sure you have yellow, blue, red and a dark colour (dark blue, violet or black). Drawing paper, watercolour paper (size A4 140lb (300gsm), ‘NOT’ (or cold pressed) surface). A variety of soft brushes to include a flat (square ended) ½”, masking tape, 2 large pots for water, newspaper or plastic table cloth to protect tables and packed lunch

Car parking is alongside the front and one side of hall. Tea and coffee provided at a small charge. It is on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchairs, with disabled accessible toilet.
