This course is aimed at beginners and improvers who want to refresh and develop their drawing skills. It will benefit students who want to learn the basic elements of drawing so that they can become more confident and successful at it. A variety of techniques and subjects will be covered.

These will include demonstrations by tutor; individual practice by student; instruction on a group and individual basis; question and answer, etc.


First session: Please bring a range of pencils from HB to 8B, sketchbook (A3), rubber, sharpener & ruler. Future sessions: Charcoal (compressed and willow). Ink nibs/holder. Putty rubber. Black ink. Brushes (large brush for washes & small detail brush).

Limited car parking at the centre plus on street parking. It is on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchairs, with disabled accessible toilet.
