Create your own painting on fabric using Inktense blocks/pencils or acrylic paints and translate it into a piece of textile art to be framed or made into a wall hanging. Instruction will be given on painting, painting onto fabric as well as simple stitch and applique techniques.

These will include demonstrations by tutor; individual practice by student; instruction on a group and individual basis; question and answer, etc.

Set of Inktense blocks/pencils or a set of acrylic paints, watercolour pencils (or Inktense pencils), graphite pencils (HB, 2B), rubber, ruler, a range of soft brushes, palette (big china plate, plastic palette), 2 pots for water, sketch book, newspaper or plastic table cloth to protect tables. 2 x A4 size piece of firm middleweight calico, selection of coloured sewing and embroidery threads, any net, ribbon, lace oddments, small beads you have, needles with eyes that fit threads and general sewing equipment; dressmakers pins, scissors, etc. Packed Lunch. Optional: Sewing machine set up to do free machining, machine’s manual, wooden embroidery hoop, suitable machine threads.
