A ten-week course studying a number of aspects of wild plants. Areas of study include: 1. Introduction to the diversity of plants; from trees, shrubs and herbs to mosses and liverworts. 2. Plant structure and relevant terminology will be covered, to build the skills and confidence needed to identify plants using a wild flower key. 3. Identification of plants both in the field and indoors – improve your ability to identify the plants you are seeing and hopefully increase your understanding and enjoyment of the ‘great outdoors’. 4. Field trips to study plants in their habitats and to put theory from indoor sessions into practise. 5. How to amend your sightings of plants into valuable biological records; helping nature conservation in the process.
