This workshop aims to introduce and develop your skills in oil painting. We shall look at the variety of ways in applying this medium.

These will include demonstrations by tutor; individual practice by student; instruction on a group and individual basis; question and answer, etc.


Oil paints, canvas paper or board pre-primed, sketchpad, palette or tear-off disposable palette, various sized nylon and stiff bristle brushes stiff, palette knife, low odour solvent only please to clean brushes (no turpentine as some people are allergic), rags, pencil (HB and 2B), eraser, drawing board if you have one, apron, newspaper to protect tables, any other oil painting equipment you have already. Packed lunch.

Car parking is alongside the front and one side of hall. Tea and coffee provided at a small charge. It is on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchairs, with disabled accessible toilet.
